I flew back to Germany, to be together with my relatives... I am back in Iceland on the 10 June.

Today along the southern coast to some amazing places: Seljalandsfoss (and more waterfalls), Skógafoss and Krýsuvík (and the blue lagoon). And all this with good summerly weather condiditions.

My grandpa died this evening in the age of 102... I dedicated this picture to him...

The following days I spend in and around Reykjavík. And took a hike "on" the "Golden circle": Þingvellir, Geysir, Strokkur, Gullfoss (and Hvitá), horses.

Today the next trip together with Silvia - to Gjögur near the beach - lava, stones, hot springs. No wind and a calm, very calm sea...

Only the half Djúpavíkurhringur - there was too much snow near the waterfall to walk the whole way - so we went back!

Together with Silvia I drove 40 km to the north - passing mountain Reykjaneshyrna (incl. a hike up to the top), Norðurfjörður (for shopping) to the swimming pool Krossnes.

Together with guest Simon I drove to the airport at Gjögur to fetch Silvia, a guest from Frankfurt/Germany. And at the evening there was this pre-final of the Eurovision-Music-Contest - the icelandic Band with the song "This is my life" reached the final on saturday!

Every school year comes to a close - here at the school Finnbogastaðaskóla, too. Both school girls Júliana und Ásta got their testimonials, and during a small farewell party teacher Badda was thanked for many years teaching at the school.

During the last days it was quiet here, thats why I show only seven pictures. But meanwhile more than two cars passing Djúpavík. And some guests are coming, too...

It is snowing further on! So Tína and me went out for a longer walk after dinner - and enjoyed the cold wind and the snow. This time with a picture showing me, and the pictures without any color.

Snow - since this afternoon snowfall again. Together with strong winds and a wind chill of minus five degrees centigrade... The contrary to that weather, that is actually in Germany - 28 degrees centigrade and sunshine...

My first days in Djúpavík this year: taking a walk - with Tína, and a lot to do in the hotel, because we had a small bigger group of guests.

Today I left to Djúpavík - with a small plane within 45 minutes, from Reykjavík to Gjögur. In Gjögur is located a small airport, about 20 km far from Djúpavík.

Together with Héðinn and Eyrún i went to a small soccer ground. There we met one mor male player and six female player. Flott, það var gamman að leika fotbollar!

Right after the trip to the zoo at Laugardalur we visited a nice exhibtion with works of the sculptur Ásmundur Sveinsson. He had put his scuptures in the public place, because his work should be open to the public. We finished our "art day" with a view into the galery i8.

Kaja and me went to the local zoo at Laugardalur - called "Family- and domestic animals garden". You can find here chicken, cows, horses, seals and a polar fox - I thinks, thats all... And beside to the zoo there is a big entertainment park for kids.
