To find a good course for learning Icelandic is not easy. But I had luck - and learn Icelandic at Betri Árangur - and Inga, the teacher. I recomend this little school very. If you are interesed to join a course, just get in contact with me and I will pass on your request...

Sigur Rós gave a their last concert of their world tournee in Reykjavík. A wonderful concert... Opening act was For A Minor Reflection. And the other band was Dagmar, Kaja, Tina and Claus...

Again saturday, again demonstration. After the main demonstration infront of the house of parlament (Alþingishús) some demonstrants walked to the main department of the police near Hlemmur and postulated the release from jail of a young man, who was hiked up a Bonus flag (Bonus = biggest food store in Iceland) on the house of parlament two weeks ago...

Saturday, 15 pm: Like last saturday and the following ones, this saturday a demonstration took place infront of the capitol, the Alþingishús. Different goals are f.e. new elections, resignation of David Oddson (chairman of the bank of the nation), (no) joining to the EU... More informations on savingiceland.org.

Friday afternoon, started to snow, uncomfortable - so, what to do? Kaja, Dagmar, Tina and I went shopping, and afterwards into a Café... This increases the good mood (which was already good)! Four pictures of this funny event.

The doors of the big hall on the ground floor of the museum Hafnarhús got opened: The exhibition ÚT/INN by the icelandic artist Hlynur Hallsson was opened ceremonial. Requisites from diffierent stores in Reykjavík are visible here now, whereas artwork taken out of the archive of the museum in these stores.

"No dogs on Laugavegur" - an official prohibition! But suddenly a wind instruments orchestra appeared, and the directly followers were people with their dogs! A demonstration against the high prices of the dog food, or against the dog licence fee? Or was is the day of the dog owners? I don't know...
