For the forth time I show photographs in the old herring factory in Djúpavík. Five different projects will be presented: Facebook images "One picture per day", "Pictures - and their sounds" (2011 and 2012), four books about four subjects, 35 post- and soundcards and "200+ pictures". A lot to see and explore again!

Since beginn of 2012 every day I publish one photography on my Facebook page. These pictures were taken in Iceland of course - and they are very different. BTW: The page is visible for all (and not only for Facebook members)! Here you get an overview of all pictures of "One picture per day".

Quite early in the morning I went down to the old herring factory to open the door to my exhibiton. But some guest were already waiting. No, they ran away when I opened the door. A partly fictitious conversation between icelandic sheep.

During two days it was raining like hell - all the water which schould have had come down in June and July came down now. Many new waterfalls appeared, the road to Hólmavík was closed because of flooding water - andy finally the plants and gras got water again!

Today 77 year ago - it was the 7 July 1935 - the old herring factory in Djúpavík started to operate. This factory was the most modern factory for processing fish in these days, the building was the largest one in Iceland ...

Once more a warning - a polar bear was spotted on the opposite side of the Strandir area. Hmmm... So the 'Icelandic Coast Guard' was searching for the polar bear with an helicopter in our area, too. To have a short break in Djúpavík not the polar bear appeared but the crew of the helicopter ...
